This workshop will explore pearls, teaching participants how to distinguish genuine pearls from fakes and how to assess their quality. You'll also get to create your own pearl bracelet 🤍 Participants don't need to worry about having no jewelry-making experience. The owner hopes that while appreciating the beauty of pearls, everyone can also learn to appreciate their own uniqueness. By handcrafting your own pearl jewelry, let the beauty of pearls showcase your unique charm.
Workshop content: . Understanding pearls: formation process, saltwater vs. freshwater, understanding pearl types and shapes . Learning to identify genuine pearls and their grades . Explaining and demonstrating basic materials and techniques for making pearl bracelets . Handcrafting pearl jewelry
The workshop includes tool rental and the following materials: . Natural freshwater pearls . Natural pyrite and crystals . Copper plated with 14k gold/silver-plated findings . Stringing material . Jewelry pouch
Duration: Approximately 2 hours (bracelet) / 3 hours (necklace) Target audience: Ages 7 and up are welcome to participate!
